According to the information published on the police.hu we would kindly ask our contestants to pay attention to the following instructions.
Competition postponed to June
Although the emergency measures due to coronavirus announced on February 8, 2021 were mitigated by the Hungarian government, unfortunately the partner institutions of our Singing Competition cannot be open and larger cultural events are not allowed. Based on these, we are forced to postpone the Singing Competition scheduled for April. We will be able to hold the Singing Competition in June at the earliest, as soon as we will receive a permit. The competition will by no means be missed. Applications submitted to the competition are valid. Until the start of the competition, we wish all singers a deep, joyful and diligent preparation!
Concert opportunity in London
The Hungarian Cultural Centre in London is offering a special prize for talents of the 11th International József Simándy Singing Competition.
Due to the restrictions caused by the coronavirus please be informed about the following
According to the correspondence with the Hungarian Ministry of Culture our government will issue a decree that will regulate cultural events in Hungary. This new regulation will be announced in two weeks. We plan to organize The 11th International József Simándy Singing Competition in Szeged between 19-25th of April, 2021. Due to the restrictions caused by the coronavirus, we may be forced to change the date. We will provide more information regarding competition date as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.
Final application deadline: March 15
We plan to organize the singing competition between April 19 and 25 in Szeged, but due to the restrictions caused by the coronavirus, the organizers may be forced to change their dates. Please note that the application deadline will not be extended.
