Diana Alexe started her musical education in Bucharest, but since 2020, she continues a training at the Music and Arts University of the City Vienna. Diana received numerous awards, such as the Romanian Award of the Best Singer Under 20 years in 2013, the Iolanda Marculescu Award in 2016/2017, the 3rd price of the Schneider-Trnavský Competition and the Special Award of the Usti nad Labem Theatre in 2019, the 2nd price of the International Grand Prix of Romania and a Special Price for the German Song in 2019, the 3rd price in category Song of the Dvořák -Competition and 1st price in the category Opera in 2019.
The young soprano was engaged at the Comedy Opera Bucharest (2017-2018), at the Choir-Academy of the Vienna State Opera (since 2018 till today), and the Cluj-Napoca State Opera (2020). She also took part in the Summer Academy of Vienna Philharmonic (2020-2021).
Diana possesses numerous roles that she already sang on stage: Mozart’s Pamina (The Magic Flute), Purcell’s Belinda (Dido and Aeneas), Humperdinck’s Sandman/Dewman/Hänsel (Hänsel and Gretel), Verdi’s Gilda (Rigoletto), and Mozart’s Zerlina (Don Giovanni).
