Biography

Young soprano Sopie Sarah Sternberger spent the first 20 years of her life in the canton of Zurich in Switzerland, where she studied ballet for ten years at the British Royal Academy of Dance's LambertWallace School of Ballet and played the violin and flute at the Wädenswil-Richterswil Music School, where she was able to show her talent at several concerts. As a dancer, she had the opportunity to take part in the ballet production S’Zündholzschächtel (The Little Matchmaker Girl).

During her high school years, she participated as a singer in many productions of the Junges Musiktheater Zürich, such as Café Così, Hänsel und Gretel and Figaro.

After graduating from high school she continued her studies in art history at the Universität Zürich, from where she transferred to art history at Eötvös University in Budapest. In parallel with her university studies, she was admitted to classical singing major of The Leó Weiner Vocational High School, where she will graduate this year as a student of Csilla Ötvös. From fall, she would like to continue her Bachelor’s studies as classical singer. Due to her international background, she speaks German and Hungarian at native level, as well as advanced English, Latin, French and Italian.
