Biography
Ermin Asceric was born on March 16, 1999, in Zenica, Bosnia, and Herzegovina. At the same time, he attended two courses at the High School of Music "Zenica" (theoretical course and a course for solo singing in the class of Prof. Vesna Košpo) and the First Gymnasium School in Zenica. In 2016, he won the first prize at the "Cantonal Competition" (Zenica). In May 2017, he went to Sarajevo for a master's class of prof. Klaudija Krkotić. In the same year, he won two first prizes at the competitions "Federal Competition Citluk" and "International Competition Vera Kovac Vitkai" (Novi Sad).
As a soloist member of the youth choir in Zenica, he participated in numerous concerts and performed with great success in various genres of music (pop, rock, spiritual music, musical). He successfully passed the entrance exams at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in June 2018, and in his first year he won a prestigious scholarship from the fund for the improvement of vocal technique "Melania Bugarinović and daughter Mirjana Kalinović-Kalin". As a student of the Academy of Arts, he attended master classes with Mihály Kálmándi (artist of the Budapest Opera) and Vera Kovač Vitkai (artist of the SNP opera). With going to the summer opera school in Ečka (Serbia), he will start his cooperation with the organization "MOTO" from Belgrade.
In 2019, he won the first prize at the International Competition "Vera Kovač Vitkai", and for the second time he became the winner of the scholarship of the fund for the improvement of vocal technique "Melanija Bugarinović and daughter Mirjana Kalinović Kalin". As a member of the association "Visoko C", he participates in the plays "Bash Celik" and "Cinderella". He also won the first prize at the "Nikola Cvejić" competition in Ruma. In 2020, he won the first prize at the International Competition "Lazar Jovanović" (Belgrade), after that he won the first prize of the "Festival of Slovenian Music" (Belgrade), then he won the first prize of the International Competition for Young Singers "Canto Bene". In the same year, he received a scholarship from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, to participate in the International Summer Academy of the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, as the most promising student of the Department of Solo Singing.
In 2020, for the third time, he received a scholarship for the improvement of vocal technique "Melanija Bugarinović and daughter Mirjana Kalinovic - Kalin", and successfully auditioned for the opera studio of the National Theatre in Belgrade. At the academy in Novi Sad, he is studying in the class of prof. Ljiljana Liskovic.
