Biography

The Korean tenor Namil KIM born in 1988, completed a Bachelor's degree in singing at the Seoul National University of the Arts with Professor He-ion Seo in 2015.

After his bachelor's degree (from the winter semester 2017/2018), he studied at master’s opera and classical operetta at the MUK (Music and Art University of the City of Vienna) with Prof. Gerhard Kahry, Wolfgang Dosch, Akiko Nakajima and Niels Muus. In the final performance, he sang the role of Caramello from Strauss's Night in Venice and he also played in the Opera Project Arbace as Idomeneo.

He played Contino Belfiore in Mozart’s La finta giardiniera at the Vienna Chamber Opera, Georges in Heuberger’s Der Opernball at the Theater an der Gunfendorfer. Furthermore, he took part in a master class by Michael Spyres and Gerhard Kahry.
