Biography
The young Hungarian baritone Norbert Görbe born in Romania was an artist to watch since his young age. As musically talented boy he went to primary school to the István Nagy School of Art in Miercurea Ciuc with major section cello and minor section piano. In 2011 Mr. Görbe continued his grammar school studies in Miercurea Ciuc and shifted his major to classical singing. From 2015 he studied at in Brasov at the Faculty of Music and at the Faculty of Psychology as well. As classical singer he received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Transylvania. Mr. Görbe currently finishing his Opera Master Programme at the University of Szeged Béla Bartók Faculty of Arts.
He has already shown his talent as a soloist in several productions. In 2020, he played the role of Ottone with great success in Händel's opera Agrippina at the Szeged Open Air Theatre. In 2018, he made his debut as Marco in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi at the Brasov Opera. As a choir member, he has been featured in several productions of the Szeged National Theater: Wagner: Tannhäuser, Mozart: Cosi fan tute, Szirmai: Mágnás Miska. He also performed as a choir artist at the Csíki Playground in the 2018/19 season.
He speaks advanced Romanian and has a basic knowledge of German, English and Italian. In his leisure time he enjoys sports like hiking and cycling, but he also loves to playing the cello, piano and guitar.
