Biography

Born in 1986, Melinda Hekler studied between 2005-2008 at the Musical Theatre Studio of the Budapest Operetta Theatre. In 2013, she graduated with a master’s diploma in acting with music from the

Academy of Drama and Film in Budapest. Her form teachers were Eszter Novák and György Selmeczi. Her vocal teacher is Zita Váradi, formerly she learnt form Éva Lax, Éva Vámossy and Bernadett Wiedemann.

In June-July 2019, Melinda Hekler participated at the summer university of the Berlin Opera Academy. She visited master courses taught by Emőke Baráth, Krisztina Laki, Éva Lax, Lorraine DiSimone, and David Wakeham.

She spent her professional practice at the Vígszínház and the National Theatre of Pécs. For the season of 2013-2014, she had an agreement with the National Theatre of Szeged.
