Biography
Born 1994 in Miskolc, Krisztina Blaga studied violin between 2004-2011 in the Egressy Béni – Erkel Ferenc Elementary Music School. She started her vocal studies in 2011 and graduated 2017 from the University of Szeged with a bachelor diploma in classical singing. 2019 she received her master’s degree in opera singing. In May 2020 she will receive her degree in music with pedagogy. During her university studies, her teacher was István Andrejcsik and now Szilvia Rálik. She speaks English at intermediate level and has basic knowledge in French and Italian.
Krisztina Blaga took part in the following productions: In the season 2017-2018 she sang in the choir of the National Theatre of Szeged as auxiliary singer in operas like Bizet’s Carmen or Verdi’s Ernani. Her first solo role was the part of Countess Ceprano in Verdi’s Rigoletto at the Open-Air Festival of Szeged. 2019, also in Szeged, she sang the part of Nella in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi. In 2020 she will be a soloist in Cherubini’s Missa solemnis, produced by the Filharmonia Hungary Non-profit organisation and will play the role of Zolna in Ferenc Erkel’s King Stephen in Székesfehérvár, accompanied by the Alba Regia Symphony Orchestra.
