Biography
Nevena Đoković (1993) graduated at the Department for Voice at Faculty of Music in Belgrade in the class of Professor Nikola Kitanovski.
She has been a member for five years of two prestigious Theatres in Belgrade – Opera & Theatre Madlenianum and Terazije Theatre – where she stand on stage in more than 100 performances. She performs main soprano roles in the following works: The Phantom of the Opera by Webber, Die Lustige Witwe by Lehár, The Magic Flute by Mozart and Les Misérables by Schönberg and Cameron.
She participated in few international projects: IMVAJ (International Masters of Vocal Arts, Jerusalem) Festival in Jerusalem (Israel), where she participated in two premieres: The Magic Flute by Mozart and Pyramus and Thisbe at the Israeli Center for Excellence. Her performance at The Classical Musical Festival in Pula (Croatia) was widely recognized by international audiences and critics.
From season 2020/21 she became a participant of Opera Studio in the National Theatre in Belgrade.
For her development, she participated in seminars and masterclasses with leading vocal artists and pedagogues: Eva Mei (Italy), Claudia Eder (Germany), Biserka Cvejic, Jadranka Jovanovic and Sanja Kerkez.
Nevena worked with many prestigious conductors as Vesna Šouc, Barak Tal (Israel), Dor Magen (Israel), Adi Bar (Israel), Milan Nedeljkovic and directors, such as Jug Radivojevic, Nebojsa Bradic, Aleksandar Nikolic, Ana Radivojevic Zdravkovic, Robert Boskovic (Croatia).
