Biography

Anđela Jovanović was born in Leskovac (Serbia) in 1998. Her musical and vocal talent was discovered when she became the soloist of Church Singing Society of Leskovac “Branko”, where she was inspired to start her music education.

She was enrolled in the Music Elementary School “Stanislav Binički”. Then, she continued her secondary education in the theory department, when she was also enrolled in vocal singing in the class of Professor Ninoslava Stamenkovic. Now, she is a student of the fourth year of undergraduate studies at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, in the class of Professor Ljiljana Lišković.

Her musical life consists of numerous activities: 1st prize at the 13th Festival of Solo Singers in Ub; second prize at the 21st Competition of Solo Singers in Belgrade; 2nd prize at the National Competition of Solo Singers in Belgrade; 3rd prize at the International Competition "Lazar Jovanović" in Belgrade; 2nd prize at the 17th International Solo Singers Competition "Lazar Jovanović" in Belgrade; 2nd prize at the 4th International Competition of Solo Singers "Vera Kovač Vitkai" in Novi Sad; 2nd prize at the 5th International Competition of Solo Singers "Vera Kovač Vitkai" in Novi Sad, 2nd prize at the International Competition of Solo Singers "Nikola Cvejić" in Ruma; 3rd prize at the school competition in the discipline of Solfeggio; 1st prizes at the 11th and 12th Competition of Young Pianists in Nis. She is currently a scholarship holder of the Foundation for the Advancement of Vocal Arts of Youth "Melanija Bugarinović", as well as a member of the children's opera "Visoko Ce" under the leadership of tenor Branislav Cvijić.

She held her first solo concert in the museum of the city of Leskovac, in 2017. She regularly performs as soloist with Church Singing Society of Leskovac "Branko" in Serbia and across Europe. She is regularly giving performances in Macedonia, Italy and Germany.
