The young baritone Ivory Ligons is currently studying at the Béla Bartók Faculty Of Music of the University of Szeged under the direction of Dr. Mária Temesi.

He has been singing his entire life for as long as he could remember. He comes from a singing family, where he received his first training as a vocalist from his grandmothers who were trained jazz and gospel singers. He has been training properly and professionally for 5 years with private and renowned professors such as Nicole Cabell, Vinson Cole, Milena Kitic and Mária Temesi. His goal is to become a skillful singer and to develop his voice at the highest level that his body allows him and perform at all the major concert halls around the world. But most importantly, he wants to touch people’s lives through the beautiful gift of music to heal the world.

His awards and recognitions are widespread. He has been singing at the Texas All-state choir, the Texas Regional Choir, South East Texas Choral and he has been performing at the American Chorals Direction Association three times. At the Dayton High School, he has been elected as the Singer of Year and received the Dayton High School Choral Scholarship, the full scholarship at Depaul School of Music, and an award of the outstanding performer of the South East Texas. His performances include a wide range of genres from Jazz, Opera, Musical, Theatre, and Gospel.

Ivory has been singing roles such as Seaweed in Hairspray, Danny Zuko in Grease, Papageno in The Magic Flute, Don Giovanni in Don Giovanni, Hector Zeroni in Holes. He has also participated in distinguished summer programs as Berlin Opera Academy, Oc Ars Vocalis in Rome, Houston Summer Opera Academy.
