Biography 

Russian soprano, Maria Kuzmina graduated from Mokranjac Music High School in class of Prof. Valentina Taškova in Belgrade  in 2018. She is currently Bachelor student at Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, where her classical voice teacher is Prof. Ljiljana Lišković. 

She has been awarded a scholarship by the “Melania Bugarinovic and daughter Mirjana Kalinovic-Kalin” foundation for three consecutive years for the Advancement of Vocal Art in Novi Sad.

Since September 2018, she has been a member of the "Visoko C" music ensemble, with which she has performed in children's plays "Cinderella" and "Cat in Boots" both in Serbia and abroad; she attended a master course with opera singer Matijaž Robavs in Slovenia, then prof. emeritus Vera Kovac Vitkai in Novi Sad.

Aslo in 2018 auditioned for the opera “Pagliacci” by R. Leonkaval at the opera and theater “Madlenianum” and became a permanent member of the choir ensemble of the play from the 2018/19 season. In 2018 she was admitted to the opera studio of the opera and theater “Madlenianum” in Zemun, which results in the play “Presence” on the big stage. 

From 2014 she is active as contestant in international and national solo singing competitions, where she mainly wins first prizes and laureates ("Serbian Solo Song", "Mita Topalovic", "Vera Kovac Vitkai", "Lazar Jovanovic", Republic Competition UMBPS and ZMBPS.). Some of the notable performances are the concert "Evening of the Opera Arias" accompanied by UAMO "Stanislav Binicki" and under the baton of Pavel Medakovic at the Serbian Army House, as well as performances on the eve of the Mokranjac Music School in the large hall of the Kolarac Endowment accompanied by a school orchestra.

In 2008 she participated as a member of the children's choir ensemble at the Bolshoi Theater in the plays "Boris Godunov", "Turandot" and "Nut Cracker"

In 2007 she performed as a soloist for the Prokofiev Children's Choir in many magnificent halls in Russia, such as: Tchaikovsky Hall, the Kremlin's Great Hall and the Moscow Music House.
